My way to yoga

Movement and being in nature have always been important to me. In my youth, I was a competitive athlete and studied sports. However, due to an accident and a failed surgery, I had to drop out of my sports studies shortly before graduation. Instead of a diploma, I received a certificate declaring me permanently unable to work and physically impaired for the rest of my life.

Health in My Hands

I was faced with a fundamental decision: undergo another surgery or take my health into my own hands. I chose self-responsibility, started practicing yoga, and explored alternative healing methods.

This was the beginning of a new passion. My physical ailments improved rapidly, and my leg regained full mobility.

Yoga became an essential companion in my life, helping me find a sense of calm amidst a hectic schedule filled with travel, stay connected with myself, and maintain both mental and physical balance.

Today, it brings me great joy to share from the heart what I have learned myself. The “miracles” I have witnessed and supported in others over the past years continuously prove that we are the creators of unforeseen possibilities.

Spiritual growth
my way to more awareness

Due to my experiences, I was interested in other alternative ways to health. I trained part-time in the disciplines of mental training, coaching, relaxation technique, yoga and yoga therapy. A special experience was a yoga therapy training at the White Lotus Foundation in California. My expectation was to learn more about yoga positions and their effect on the musculoskeletal system.

However, I was able to learn that this was about more subtle processes than those of the muscles and joints. The entire course was designed to work with seriously ill people. I got to know the importance of energy, relaxation, silence and breath and thus a way that can bring sick people out of fear and pain and thus form a foundation for recovery. At that time, I had the feeling for the first time that my own path would soon change.

Kundalini Yoga

Shortly afterwards, I came across Kundalini Yoga after Yogi Bhajan. I noticed at the very first hour that this moved a little deep inside me. Fascinated and hungry for knowledge, I trained as a Kundalini Yoga teacher. The practice of Kundalini Yoga – also called the yoga of consciousness – has turned my consciousness so abruptly and immovable that I first found my professional activity at the time boring, then completely pointless.
